This Creamy Marry Me Shrimp Pasta recipe is a delightful dish combining juicy shrimp, a rich creamy sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. A comforting and flavorful meal that will make everyone fall in love at first bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
  4. Mix in Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually to reach desired consistency.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and stir gently to combine.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and additional Parmesan, if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor, but frozen shrimp works well too.
  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
