  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz spaghetti or lo mein noodles
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Add garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and hoisin sauce. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  5. If using cornstarch, mix with 1 tbsp water to create a slurry, then stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
