  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper, or to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles (or other dry pasta)
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Stir in butter, then add onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in flour and paprika.
  • Pour in white wine, scraping the pan to deglaze.
  • Add beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Stir in egg noodles. Cover and cook until noodles are tender.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, use a mix of beef and chicken broth.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
