Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the bell pepper and onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Fold in the sautéed peppers, onions, and half of the shredded provolone cheese.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet or loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, then top with the remaining cheese. Bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add mushrooms or hot peppers.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • Make sure to let the meatloaf rest before cutting to keep it juicy and intact.
