  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds & chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
